The Dragons opened Region 7-6A play against the Bartlett Panthers. It also marked the first game for Collierville against an in-state opponent.
The Dragons entered the game with a 1-1 record after a tough loss to Olive Branch and a good win over Center Hill. Bartlett was undefeated and looking to make a push in region play.
The Dragons came out throwing and scoring putting fourteen points up quickly in the first quarter. But Bartlett answered with fourteen of their own. With time expiring in the first quarter, Matt Connors connected to Justin Stonework for a twenty yard touchdown pass to give the Dragons a 21-14 lead.
The Dragons never looked back scoring four more touchdowns in the game while only surrounding one more to secure the 49-21 victory.
